The Ghost town and collapsed mine are next to a Native burial ground. We heard a coyote challenges the second night there, something not too coyote sounding answered the challenge, but the coyote apparently didn’t fall for it and stayed put. The answering call was from even further away from us. Even in Midsummer, the nights there were cold, and all the locals who used the area for recreation left about a half-hour before sunset.
