Sasquatch Chronicles

A possible set of eyes appearing

A listener writes “Hey Wes its “J” from Missouri. Episode 991. I changed jobs just after I spoke on your podcast, so my time on the back deck has diminished greatly now that I have more normal office hours. However, the activity has not.

I continue to hear low growling and loud tree knocks. At least twice, I’ve heard trees fall completely with no wind or cattle to blame just trees falling down. Last night around 9:00 p.m., things got exciting. It started with loud crashes in the woods, breaking branches, and things being thrown that sounded like large rocks. This was quickly followed by low, deep growls.

At first, I wanted to blame cattle since some were in the area the previous day. However, my thermal camera ruled that out.

As I went to bed around 9:30, the neighbor’s dog which never leaves the front yard came storming through the back of the property, barking into the woods. They were deep, loud single barks followed by a few seconds of silence. This went on for about a minute or two. As I went inside, the coyotes began to sound off. They were close. My wife noticed they sounded different than normal. It was one or two coyotes howling almost like wolves, not yapping like coyotes. This lasted for a few minutes, then everything went quiet.

Today, I woke up and checked my game camera, and this is what I caught. The first image shows a little critter entering the frame in the bottom left-hand corner. The second shows the same critter moving to the right. The third appears to show a possible set of eyes appearing.

That’s the same bow target I mentioned last time, which is about 3–4 feet off the ground. After going down to the spot, whatever it was appeared to be at least 10 feet off the ground.”
