Watch: The Mysterious Sasquatch Island

An expedition is launched on to British Columbia’s Vancouver Island in search of a legendary Sasquatch that local native tales say would steal children who ventured too deep into the woods.

Bigfoot, also known as sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq’ets

Various types of creatures have been suggested to explain both the sightings and what type of creature Bigfoot would be if it existed. The scientific community typically attributes sightings to either hoaxes or misidentification of known animals and their tracks. While cryptozoologists generally explain Bigfoot as an unknown ape, some believers in Bigfoot attribute the phenomenon to UFOs or other paranormal causes.

A species of Paranthropus, such as Paranthropus robustus, with its crested skull and bipedal gait, was suggested by primatologist John Napier and anthropologist Gordon Strasenburg as a possible candidate for Bigfoot’s identity, despite the fact that fossils of Paranthropus are found only in Africa.

Michael Rugg, of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum, presented a comparison between human, Gigantopithecus and Meganthropus skulls (reconstructions made by Grover Krantz) in episodes 131 and 132 of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum Show. He favorably compares a modern tooth suspected of coming from a Bigfoot to the Meganthropus fossil teeth, noting the worn enamel on the occlusal surface. The Meganthropus fossils originated from Asia, and the tooth was found near Santa Cruz, California.

Some suggest Neanderthal, Homo erectus, or Homo heidelbergensis to be the creature, but no remains of any of those species have been found in the Americas.

I’m sorry but u seem to be running out of fresh material already most the blogs you are posting are old news I’ve heard of the accounts or watched the video .I’m sure most people who have a interest in Sasquatch have watched everything of interest on youtube. I did wonder how u were going to keep the site fresh and interesting when there is some much hoax and bulls##t out there and when you cut that out there’s not a lot of genuine interesting material left it won’t be long before you have the flute players on at this rate . I have really enjoyed the early stuff and I thank for that and this is just my opinion kind regards charlie in the uk

The flute players will come out and defend the site no matter what but I agree this is a valid concern. Its not about the $7. This site is getting paid 10’s of thousands each month if not more…..that alone demands fresh product…not filler we all have seen before elsewhere.
If you have nothing new then don’t post…that is fine with me.

Thank both of you guys for your concerns…….BUT
Not everybody lives on the internet looking up Bigfoot stuff……”we have a life” 😉
I never seen 80-90% of the stuff this website puts on here……I love the fact that I have “ONE” site to come to that spends the time to gather all this information together!
Stop crying like a bunch of little girls……

Let’s face it wouldn’t be the mystery it is, if there were “new information” popping up all the time.

Yea some of the stuff i’ve seen before and some of it I haven’t. I do like the fact that it all is being gathered in one place and can be discussed with like minded people before the flute players invade.

But until that new information is uncovered, discuss why you think it’s bullshit. Hell I like hearing all the opinions. Will, Wes and Shannon aren’t too shy about calling something BS unless it’s a guest, which if they did would damper enthusiasm for people calling in about encounters on SC.

We all have our BS meters …. but hell it all can’t be BS can it?

Keep posting this old stuff, that is one of the things I like. If “10s of thousands ” of dollars would facilitate new info all the time there would be no info. As a side note, how did the trap cams and in fared spotlights work out for them? Maybe the should \ry back during the salmon run.

@ norman, ya, I agree, with the comments about sitting on your computer all day. These morons are the ones who expect others to find information for them, I just say, “sucks to be you”, so go find some evidence, and get off your computer!
