The Daily Show With Funny Bigfoot Segment

The Sasquatch Archives writes “Always a funny man, Stephen Colbert does a segment on Bigfoot/Sasquatch way back in 1998. This bit features long-time researcher Ray Crowe who not only had a long-standing newsletter, The Track Record, but also held monthly meetings with his Western Bigfoot Society group. I hope you enjoy this hilarious segment.”

Well, I for one found it humorous. The only disparaging part was the “holes in Jim’s property”. The rest was just highlighting the absurdity of listing an enigma on the endangered species list. Come on, it wasn’t an attack on believers, just on using Sasquatch as one reason for denying Jim’s plan. This was in 1998, before the political climate exploded and everyone decided there were clear enemies on the other side. I miss those more rational days.

(New Jersey) You are wrong, Johnny Carson breath !! In fact Esther, you hit the nail on the head when you said “ONE reason for denying Jim’s plan.” If you looked at the list in Colbert’s hand, it appeared to contain more than 50 “endangered species.” I don’t see where operating a horse farm would be a threat to any of them!! I would agree that the county’s letter was written by idiots, and should not preclude the man from making a living. However, there is no attack on believers, or political correctness issues here! Just a ludicrous decision by a local county government with an attempt to turn it into a funny story, by a not so funny man, Jim Colbert !

I find it interesting that ‘people’ that aren’t inhibited by Truth, find regular, hardworking, honest people amusing…I don’t. Personally I find sociopaths amusing..
