The Confessionals: Decoding Bigfoot

The Confessionals writes “In Episode 627: Decoding Bigfoot, we talk with researcher Matt Pruitt, focusing on his book “The Phenomenal Sasquatch: Seeking the Natural Origins of a Cultural Icon.” Pruitt offers a fascinating blend of scientific investigation and cultural understanding in his work, analyzing the intersection of fact and folklore surrounding Sasquatch.

He then recounts his dedicated efforts in collecting detailed reports about a red-haired Sasquatch, tracing its migration, and compiling eyewitness testimonies. The discussion expands to cover various aspects of bigfoot research, including their physical traits, historical evidence, and personal encounters. Pruitt’s insights from both his field research and his book provide a rich, multi-dimensional view of the Sasquatch phenomenon.”

I randomly selected a time on the interview, it landed on roughly 24:30… I listened for about a minute up until it sounded like he was indeed dismissing the stranger phenomena and comparing the creatures physicality to apes… I guess I’ll have to listen to this later and give it more of a fair shake when I’m not washing my underwear or doing more important things.

I don’t care who it is or how popular someone is, when people start yammering like they know it all on an unexplained topic and have a book to sell on top it I just tune out.

So you’re telling me for 400 years the Native American people, myself and hundreds or thousands of modern encounters with Sasquatch associated with aspects of high strangeness or supernatural abilities is all BS and all we needed to know is that it’s an ape?… Ain’t no way. 😂

Shout out to @that40yearguy. That’s hilarious.

You should have joined the interview at the start. Pruitt prefaced his position by saying that his belief is biological as opposed to the woo but neither belief is currently sufficient to answer the question what is Bigfoot. The guy has interviewed 2000 witnesses dating back to 2002 and he’s extremely versed on bipedal cryptids from across the globe. I didn’t find him closed minded at all. My suggestion is to check your biases at the door and give him another chance. Merkel comes from the woo side yet the two had a great conversation.

Hi Mark R, “Woo”just seems like a term that people with little faith in God put on others who have a little more, but if you’re into that pronoun life that’s your call, I’ll still pray for you. 🙏🏼🌞

In my world it’s obvious some people are allowed to see something more with different attributes outside of what we’re use to seeing (as if Sasquatch by itself wasn’t shocking enough, right?) so I understand how it might confuse you, I used to think the same thing.

I know I can’t reach everyone with my own truth and prove things I’ve witnessed, but I’m trying to accept that more without tearing others down, I just haven’t gotten as good at it as I want to yet. If I could have people experience just one of the strange attributes to this phenomenon that I’ve seen I definitely would, but obviously it isn’t my call and doesn’t happen like that for everyone. I can’t drag everyone up the trail to where I’m at now.

I guess it’s just more of the learning process I need to go through yet in being more forgiving and compassionate to other people who have different views about life. But man, sometimes it feels like I’m in the crows nest on the Titanic and yelling “ICEBERG AHEAD!”, meanwhile everyone is sipping martinis, listening to loud music and trying to hump each other before the night is over. (excuse my French).

We might disagree on what we consider “well versed”, but it’s all good. Maybe you’ll have your day or experience some time and have your own paradigm shift (or three) like I have and you’ll understand.
It’s cool you stuck up for someone though and I commend that. Take care.
