SC EP:429 Bob Gimlin Live Call In

I apologize for the audio quality but I can only control what I can control on a live show.

Tonight I will be live from Kennewick, Washington along the southwest bank of the Columbia River. My guests tonight will be Bob Gimlin and Russell Acord. This is a live call in show. Call in and talk to Bob.

Tonight’s show is brought to you by the International Bigfoot Conference. I know not everyone can make it to a conference.

I really want to do something special for the fans of the show. If you ever wanted to talk to Bob, here is a great opportunity. Bob will be joining me live Friday night at 4pm Pacific Standard Time.

Bob Gimlin is the greatest! I have a lot of respect for this man for putting up with the stuff he has had to deal with since he saw Patty. From one Navy vet to another, I salute you sir!

Wes, Russell and Bob thank you all so much for the oppurtunity to call and just be on the other line with Mr Gimlin and be able to ask a question it was such an honor and something I’ll never forget. Was so nervous when i called I almost forgot to ask my question lol

  3. Lewis S

Sorry I had to miss this. I have a lot of respect for Mr. Gimlin, his reputation before the film was impeachable and his strength since only adds to him.

Bob is an absolute sweetheart and I adore him.

HOWEVER, while I am a believer that bigfoot exists, I think the Patterson bigfoot was a man in a suit.

    Why?

Patterson was working for a movie house at the time and they were trying to drum up publicity for a sci-fi film about creatures. So he had Bob Hieronimous dress up in a suit… the face has too much hair on it, does not look like the bigfoots we folks see.

This is no reflection on Bob of course… he could have been fooled like anyone else. I believe that he thinks what he saw was real.

man in a suit? Look into it more. The individual would had to have been about 7ft tall. The joints in the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees do not line up with a natural human being. But, for the sake of argument, let’s just say it was a man in a suit. How do you get foot prints into the earth that would take a weight of 700lbs plus to get the depth that they had. and no machinery in sight.

“the face has too much hair on it, does not look like the bigfoots we folks see.” Please do some more research. There are more than the kind that “we folks” were seeing.

      • NHSquatcher

There are body comparisons and the two line up. The man used was very tall. I worked at the famous Malden Mills factory that made a lot of the fur for Hollywoods best Wookies.

I think you are dead wrong. There is no way does that film show a man in a suit. If you want to see what a cutting edge suit from 1967 was watch the planet of the apes and thats the best hollywood could do with huge budgets.

Dang I thought this show would have some interesting questions asked that we don’t get to hear often. Instead it’s a bunch of people calling in wanting to be able to say that talked to bob g. Unless u want to hear bob get fluffed, it’s a waste of time to listen to.

      • Rob P

I listend to it after it was aired. I can’t always get to the episodes right away. I would have loved to ask him and yourself some questions. Maybe I’ll get to someday. I feel like maybe it wasn’t exactly what u were looking for either Wes, it wasn’t on you.
Bob seems like a great guy though.

          • Rob P

            Of course.
I’m looking forward to tonight’s show though. I really enjoy the shows with witnesses who didnt believe in this to begin with, the ones who have a hard time coming forward. They are hard to find though I’m sure.

Ya know.. I read your comment, and thought “Wow… what a Dick…” Then i listened to the show… I would say you are about 75% or more correct. Wes does what he can to keep the show on track, but with those call ins.. double calls and what not, There is only so much a person can do. The rest of it… your comment is basically spot on. I wish I coulda heard the show live, but I didn’t log in Thursday to verify. .Looking at the blog, it looks like Sundays show should be a good one though. I went back and listened to “Chewbacca Man” again last night. That show never gets old. lol

      • m99

Oh John, Chewbacca man is in my top five. Say, why Don t you just stay logged in? I do with no worries. Every now & then the system logs me out so I just log back in. It’s really no worries. Wasn’t it nice of Wes to post the show? And he was sweet to consider Bob & his wife, who he mentioned was not feeling well. There was a point in the program when I heard Mr. Gimlin get fatigued. I thought Wes will be closing soon, and he sure did.

  6. m99

~ Perfect. Don’t mess with PERFECTION! Thank you Wes! It was wonderful to hear all Mr. Gimlin had to say. You have some of the best friends in the world Wes. You are indeed a very blessed man. I praise God everyday for SC! LOL. 🙂

I listened to the whole thing yesterday and it was even better today. I guess I got a little mixed up, thinking ya’ll were already AT the INTL BF Conference! Duh! I’ll have to think about working on the old man (my husband). Maybe I could twist his arm and get to go. We’ll see. Sure want to shake Mr. Gimlin’s hand for myself. Anyway, good show, what a Hit! May the Lord Bless you and Shine his face upon you and Yours. _m99

I never tire of listening to such a humble, sincere individual as Bob Gimlin. I can see why Wes would want to spend as much time as possible with him. Bob, you are the salt of the earth, your sincerity is contagious and I would never doubt for one minute that what you two filmed that day was indeed the real thing. Your humility has rubbed off on Wes and that’s a good thing!

  8. Denise F

I think the caller, Matt was spot on….Mr. Gimlin is a real gentleman. Im sure Bob and the callers really appreciated having the time to just say “hello” and talk.

    Thanks again, Wes

  9. mermaidmood

I’m grateful that Wes isn’t a control freak. He’s a real gentleman. There’s a reason Bob trusts him, opens up to him, and respects him.

“You cannot tell from appearances how things will go. Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are; yet without imagination not much can be done. Those people who are imaginative see many more dangers than perhaps exist; certainly many more than will happen; but then they must also pray to be given that extra courage to carry this far-reaching imagination.”
    Winston Churchill

    That’s for you, Wes.

I thoroughly enjoy listening to Bob. I respect him, especially; and revere him as one of the last of the Greatest Gen. I trust him and admire him. He has clout. He’s earned it. He reminds me of THIS Winston Churchill quote:

“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never–in nothing, great or small, large or petty–never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” In

Instead of “enemy” we could say instead “detractors.” Bob stands his ground. He doesn’t yield, he is a man of honor. He is a man who has a great story, and is a part of living history.

    God bless you both.
    Keep up the good fight.
    Be true to your vision.
    Be true to your courage.
    Never give in.

  10. keith c

i would have liked to ask Bob if he agrees with thinkerthunker that the only way they saw the creature was that the horses they had with them where masking their human scents. any thoughts anyone?

  11. David R

Thanks Wes! I got to see Bob in Ocean Shores WA. and am bummed out that I didn’t get my picture taken with him. I just hope to see him again. I have some good questions, but I know that nobody really knows the real truth about them.

  12. Wolf

Thanks Wes for putting this on. Wish I could have called in from down under.

Regarding Bluff creek I wrote a theoretical account from Patty’s perspective and would be very curious to get Bob’s take on it…
Bob, if you read this comment, would you do me the honour of reading what I wrote at https://www.sasquatchstories.com/bluffcreek1967 and let me know what you think?
    Thanks mate.

  13. Pete M

Thanks for that Wes, can’t wait to meet Mr. Gimlin in person, I live in Jefferson, TX, the Texas conference is held here every October. I’m glad the callers showed Bob the proper and well deserved respect, I enjoyed hearing him respond to the questions that were asked, I thought they were good questions. I too missed the live call in show, but I’m glad that you recorded it and shared it with us, always love hearing from Bob. I could tell you were ready for some steak and beer, lol.
