I am at the base of a (small) mountain, and there are power lines, nature trails, tons of creeks and rivers and even a small “farm” (two horses and a hen house) at the end of my street. I’ve had multiple as a child in the Winnataska area-recently I’ve had what seemed very similar while fishing on the Cahaba. Now that I think of it, I believe I may have had some encounters in this area a few years ago. I never thought about having an encounter on the Cahaba being so close to town.
