But that whole area starting at Saltville and going north and along state lines is pretty isolated and remote once you get outside of the small towns. </p>

If you are not getting birds chirping or the wind blowing intermittently then you probably have it set up too &#8220;tightly &#8221; If it&#8217;s in dictation mode it&#8217;s expecting really close loud voices or sounds to trigger the recorder. What&#8217;s the model you bought. <p>It was a compilation of hundreds of encounter stories (that I have listened too) and observations in my area where I&#8217;ve noticed activity.</p>
<p>Children, horses and strange noises most likely attract them&#8230;.if only out of curiosity. </p>
<p>Schools have stadium lights, band practice and kids. </p>
<p>Farms and stables have feed, water, kids and horses.</p>
