Hey Jo M. I live here in rural NW NC. The dogman that me and my daughter saw was around 6 feet tall and well built. It looked more like a red wolf in the face and was walking on its back legs as you would expect. We saw it from 2 feet away in broad daylight. It has traumatized my little girl. She is 7 and since then won’t sleep alone or even go the the bathroom by herself. Im sure these things come in all shapes and sizes. After our encounter we had something get on our roof that was bipedal and very heavy. Be safe out there.

Hello Debbie, i was in Bent Mountain VA four years ago when i ran into a red one in broad daylight. I was cutting timber for a friend and kept getting the feeling that i was being watched. Earlier in the week i had found tracks in the snow but couldn’t believe what i was seeing. Fast forward to today my brother found tracks while out deer hunting here in Surry county.

I have Had two sightings years ago. One was in 2005 at night while calling coyotes and the other was in 2014 in broad daylight in the mountains of VA while cutting timber in a very remote area. This after noon while bow hunting here in Surry County NC i had something strange happen. After setting in the stand for a hour or so i started to hear heavy footsteps. At first i got excited thinking that it may be a mature buck, especially as heavy as it sounded. After 30 minutes or so i realized that it wasn’t a deer. The sound moved around me and in front of my stand. I then heard two very loud wood knocks, almost like someone hitting a oak tree with a baseball bat as hard as they could. After that every thing went silent. I have thought about emailing Wes about my earlier sightings that took place years ago.
