The UK is a long way from being perfect. I realise there is bias everywhere. I distrust all media to the point it is difficult to know what to believe, except from gut instinct. The BBC is the only news I access and I take that with a pinch of salt. In addition I sometimes look at…Read more

My beef isn’t with people in the USA selling off their family jewels. It’s happening everywhere, including Saudi Arabia buying up sports enterprises globally (sports-washing). A lot of this is down to good old fashioned human greed and short termism, and to hell with the consequences, it’s nothing new. I don’t like it by the way, but I cannot…Read more

I’d imagine Putin was close to fainting once day 3 of his SMO expired.
If there is a chapter in art of war entitled ‘every cloud has a silver lining’ this type of ‘faint’ tactic may be under that? I am aware of the quote in that book about waiting by the river long enough. Ironically this is exactly what China is doing and they have all the time…Read more

Why did Russia attempt to take the Ukrainian capital via Belarus if they were only interested in Donbas and Crimea? If their operation succeeded, would the Russians hand it back to the Ukrainians and focus only on Donbas and Crimea? Alternatively would Russia have installed a puppet in the capital to expand their influence throughout the country?

If you lived in Ukraine, would you want to be governed by Moscow?
The world is and always has been a troubled place, if you are divided, you will get conquered, look at the history books, nothing will ever change, as the song goes ‘we didn’t start the fire’. Does anyone really think there was ever an idyllic period in history?
