What if they have really good night vision, and step out to cross the road, look up into the lights and it temporarily blinds them? That’s what happens to a lot of deer, cats, etc. momentary “freeze” to let eyes adjust… humans to for that matter. Being animals, they like the others can’t judge speed/distance as well as we can, and miscalculate. Just my theory.
March 5, 2017 at 5:00 pm #100690Frankie PParticipantWhy don’t you check with Duke? (Brian Sullivan)… or pm. Woody?
February 9, 2017 at 4:05 pm #99236Frankie PParticipantSometimes it seems that the more we know, the less we understand. These are just fascinating animals,as I think all our “kin” are, those living and those vanquished by time.
February 5, 2017 at 2:44 pm #98992Frankie PParticipantVery interesting and good explanations of what he finds and even how he can the approximate age of breaks and scat. There is a lot of activity in the area for sure! Those photos are really good.
December 24, 2016 at 2:20 pm #96494Frankie PParticipantI think the problem is us. Once we know what they know, or they admit it, “we the people” will know they have been dishonest for years, and we’ll start scrutinizing everything else. I know some people already do that, but a lot of us don’t pay that much attention. This might just do that…
December 24, 2016 at 2:11 pm #96493Frankie PParticipantWOW. Did you catch this part? “a variety of other non-human persons”!!!
December 19, 2016 at 5:02 pm #96206Frankie PParticipantRegarding the child bearing of Bigfoot, I read that the eldest female babysits the young when in a group, and that may allow larger groups to breed more frequently – the number of available females to share the activities, and hunting males where they child rearing can be more compartmentalized, as it with humans in some cultures.
December 19, 2016 at 4:51 pm #96205Frankie PParticipantI, too, wish all of you a Happy Holiday, regardless. I look forward to seeing your posts here and on the Facebook site, and consider you part of my “bigfoot group”. May your family and friends have a safe and enjoyable season, and prayers your way!
December 19, 2016 at 4:38 pm #96202Frankie PParticipantI think it’s a really good compilation. It would be great to have exactly for the purpose of educating our eyes. Some I really liked just a couple of years ago, I found I was saying “the proportions are wrong”, the “fur looks weird”, or something. That tells me my eyes are catching up to the “true stories of what they looked like” and that is a valuable thing!
Thank you M99 for the effort you made with these – I had seen these compilations before at all!
December 14, 2016 at 2:14 pm #95978Frankie PParticipantI thought the call was a “challenge” call, not a mating call.
December 14, 2016 at 1:58 pm #95977Frankie PParticipantToo little history is known today… too little is taught or even family stories told. I pity our children’s children because they won’t know where they came through or the trials and triumphs of their families through the years… A name and a date on a tombstone is what they are left with.
December 8, 2016 at 3:17 pm #95648Frankie PParticipantYes, and it has a “long neck”…. lol
December 8, 2016 at 2:27 pm #95644Frankie PParticipantThat was funny, Pam! I had forgotten Michael’s sense of humor. He can be hilarious.
December 8, 2016 at 2:21 pm #95643Frankie PParticipantI’m thinking it would depend on “where” you find it. If it’s on your property there’s a lot of things you could do to hide it until a plan really seems like the right one. Else where, you could bury it, (wrap, douse with some ointment to keep bugs/whatever away), and maybe have more planning time to find a “helper” of some sort. That of course is assuming you could dig that much or pile that many rocks on it…
December 7, 2016 at 6:49 pm #95581Frankie PParticipantI’m glad to hear BTW people are okay, and still doing their thing. You have so much experience to share, I hope you do articles, or a book with it some time! Like to hear more of your theories, and how some seem to hold, and some you may have to revise… What do you think the BF did during the flooding? Could it have been good for them – consolidating prey areas, or bad? Any feel for it around there?
