ParticipantHey M, I’m still here. Chemo was making me sick for the past couple of weeks. Started feeling better just in time for another round of chemo yesterday, but my oncologist cut the dose on one of the drugs, so we’ll see how it goes this time. I’ve had way too many doctor appointments with different specialists last week as well. I’m just exhausted right now. Once I get accustomed to the new meds and the new chemo, I should be back to my old self. Thank you all for your concern, though, it’s very much appreciated!

ModeratorJohn B! Yes! Sorry you’ve had such a hard time of it again. Thank you for giving us the heads up.
Actually I did notice your absence but thought perhaps you were helping your mother. Knobby mentioned your not being around, and I thought your mother might be having a hard time again I told him.
Anyway still thinking of you and mom. Praying too. Sorry I haven’t said much lately in the forums.
I’m over politics, covid, news stories, the chaos… Had to step back. But do admire the ones who’ve kept up with it. It’s too much negativity for me. I still lurk around though. I miss the Sasquatch being the star.
Oh well that’s enough of that. Take care friend John B. Thanks again for the update. _m

ParticipantI used to smoke a lot of weed. I recently quit for 3 months and I have lost 15-20lbs as a result and now I look like a skeleton. The doc just gave me a referral to a doctor that can prescribe weed, so hopefully, I can get some edibles, like gummies, cause smoking it is hard.

ModeratorThe cure? Yeah, that’s what they say. But who the heck wants to sit around ripped all the time (speaking for myself)? You can take CBD with the THC present and it’s not as potent, but is a good pain relief. Like a friend of mine used to say, okay I’ll take a couple puffs, but only give me the “bad” stuff! She meant the weak version. We’d just roll (fall over laughing) when she’d say that. No wonder (when we were kids – teen and college age) we had no pain, slept so well, and always seemed so chill. But the Phoenix Tears recipe is supposed to really work. It’s been a long time since I watched that video, but I think people used capsules, didn’t smoke it, for the most part. If I had cancer I’d have to give it a go. You can take the stuff at night, he says, and it won’t impact your regular day time activities. Just sayin’ though.

ParticipantI’m going to wait on the results of the PET scan before I try alternatives. If there is progression I’m pretty much out of chemo options. There is a trial study pill that I can qualify for, but I’m not sure of the costs involved I’ll have to wait and see on that.
There are so many tough decisions that I’ll have to make if this current round of chemotherapy didn’t work.

ModeratorWell John B ~ I am praying you find a solution and I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this mess. You are a very positive and strong individual despite the challenges you’ve had to face. But hey, you know that already. _loves in Jesus John B_ m99
