SC EP:337 Childhood encounters with the creature

Jimmy writes “I had an encounter with 2 different Sasquatches in on afternoon/night. I really love your show and it is great therapy for people whom have had encounters”

I will also be welcoming Ed to the show. Ed writes “My fascination with Big Foot began after my sighting in the summer of 1985 in Maine. I was 14 and it scared the **** out of me.

Since then and up until about a year ago I used to have horrible nightmares several times a year about Big Foot. The nightmares stopped late last year when I finally admitted to myself, and to a few close family members, what I saw.

Up until about a year ago I had never told anyone about my experience.”

Not to devalue anyone else or their encounter, but I’d consider this to be one of the SC flagship episodes. Jimmy & Ed are both very well spoken. Thanks everyone

Wes, you should be incredibly proud. 337 episodes?! That’s absolutely wild, man. Sas Chron is my phones browsers start page and I refresh the home page a million times a day. Keep fighting the good fight brother.

Wes you have a a seriously broad spectrum range of music genres. Just when I think I got your music background pegged you go ahead and open episode 337 with awolnation from the Megalithic Symphony album–an Aaron Bruno Joint…you crack me up and def make a gripping topic like Bigfoot even more interesting…thanks for the well thought out episodes every week!!

(New Jersey) Another Superb show! Excellent guests. Bigfoot aside, it was heart breaking listening to Jimmy describe his relationship with his Mom. She sounds like a real piece of work. I doubt his step father would win any father of the year contests either. On a positive note- in spite of this upbringing- Jimmy sounds like he grew up to become a real gentleman. I ‘m sure he’s a great husband and dad to his kids. Both Jimmy and Ed had remarkable encounters! It was so interesting hearing how these episodes affected their lives over time. Great show!

    Many thanks Wes.
You should know that I’ve managed to get 7 people hooked on SC since I started listening a year ago.
    You’re a living legend man!
    Be well.

I’m so sorry your mother was abusive, but look how you turned out! For whatever she was, she turned out one hell of a son. It takes a wise, brave old soul to not repeat the sins of their parent. Take care of those babies…they were your destiny…

Wes, thanks again!, love this show! Jimmie, thank u for sharing your childhood encounter. That was riveting and can’t imagine how traumatic that must have been especially at that young age. So much thanks to give to your guests as they make the show what it is and to you Wes for the effort put into each week. Nice to see your mom posting again!

    To Wes, Jimmy & Ed,
This was an excellent show. I will be listening to 337 again in the future. I suppose it’s because I’m still trying to wrap my mind around a strange sighting I had as a kid. I was with my parents and they experienced it with me. We decided it was a huge black bear that somehow lost its nose and ears and had a deformed back. As an adult, looking back, it was in good shape and running incredibly fast.

My thanks to all three of you! ??

Watching Finding Bigfoot is what triggered my memory from 1985-86 when my husband and I found tracks etc while on a walk in the forest in Oregon. I think it has brought people out and allowed people to feel more comfortable in talking about their encounters. This pod cast has enhanced this subject too. Thank you Wes

Jimmy, not sure if you’re a member here but I’m going to start a thread on the forum with some additional thoughts on the trembling you were talking about

The first guest, Jimmy, was correct in mentioning the new Bigfoot museum called “Expedition Bigfoot. It’s located in Cherry Log, GA. It’s a great place for all Sasquatch enthusiasts to visit. A bit of news for the museum, they announced their first Town Hall meeting with BFRO investigators and eye witnesses. Tickets sold out in one day!!! In my opinion Bigfoot is live and well in GA and quite popular among GA residents.

Wow!! What a scary encounter.!!! Sounds like the dad knew more about it than he was letting on. Thanks Wes and thank you to the guests!!! Yeee Hawww!!!

What an awesome episode. I found my heart breaking for both these witnesses. I really must say, this is the #1 place for “Victims” to become “Victors”. I can’t believe how great this show is. I can’t believe how unusual this site is. You are saving lives & making a difference. Thank you Wes.

I might be wrong and no other members will see this but this episode just might be my favorite one. It seems like on the episodes I either agree 100% with say just one of the encounters but turn Mr. Skeptical on the other. This one i believe both these guys saw something.

Great interview. I kept putting off telling my parents, when it clued in they had both passed away. That’s what really pushed my butt to give my accounts(750) before I get this “on file” before age or illness take me. Thank you Wes for giving us an outlet of common confusion.

    Wes
This was a great episode and I feel for red and his family. I also saw this re-enactment of it on Terror in the woods show over the weekend. (Rerun) there was some parts of the story that was left out on the TV show.. One of those was about the brick being thrown through the door. It was great to hear the complete story and I really enjoyed it.

As Jimmy tells his childhood stories, I recall I’ve seen his story reenacted on one of those shows like terror in the woods, or Fear in the woods or another one. Very scary for children and to be left alone for so long is awful.
